What are women’s favorite wines?
We asked our visitors during the Vinitaly fair.
From these simple curiosities many new things have emerged regarding the tastes of many women and mothers.
What wines do women prefer?
Women tend to appreciate light, fruity and fresh wines, such as white wines, perfect for summer occasions. However, there is no specific type of wine that all women like without distinction.
Although the majority of our interviewees prefer sparkling wines in first place, followed by still reds and still whites. However, we can include Prosecco, Chianti, Rosato, Chardonnay and Cabernet as women’s favorite wines. Unlike men who, on the other hand, prefer a still red in first place and a still white in second place.
Another important fact that emerged is that more and more women are entering the world of wine production.
Which wine would you recommend to the most demanding women?
We asked this question during an interview with the sommelier of our client wine shop Grotta Divino in Florence.
He had no doubts and pointed out some bottles: “For the most demanding ladies, we recommend the Camely from Tenuta Montecchiesi in Cortona, a classic method rosé sparkling wine made from 100% Syrah grapes. An explosion of fruit and colors”.
Organic and biodynamic wines
Many of the women interviewed were keen to underline their attention to care and respect for the environment.
This attention is reflected, when it comes to wine, in more conscious and sometimes sophisticated choices towards organic and biodynamic wines.
Organic and biodynamic wines are produced in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way, in fact, for their production the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers or genetically modified organisms is not permitted.
